Discrepancy in recent reporting?

Hi all, Curious if there’s a bit of a lag or discrepancy in reporting recently on Sprout. I’m getting confused on a post that I see has about 67 engagements, but Sprout is showing wayyyy off. I’m not talking about clicking on hashtags.   Any ideas?

Meta Business Suite in disabled state - need help.

We have an issue with our Meta Business Suite account being “disabled”.I have been wrestling with this issue for almost 2 weeks.Is there any way to actually talk to a real person at Meta?Long Story short in bullet format:Account has not been actively used in a couple years. We decided to try a couple sample test campaigns in FB & IG.  Placed ads on Oct. 17/24 Both campaigns required budgets to be pre-paid, and Meta took this from our card on file. (about $250) Both campaigns were reviewed and approved (email notification & dashboard said “active”) After the weekend, noticed no funds had been used up from our pre-paid budget. Finally noticed in “Ads Manger” that our account is “disabled” because they can’t put a “hold” on our card. They do not indicate how much they want to “hold” on the card. I then noticed on Oct. 22, our credit card was to expire this month (10/24) Updated card info (more than a dozen times) and keep hitting the “try hold again" button with no success. Then w

Hashtags - Do you actually use them as a consumer?

I've been hearing mixed perspectives within the industry when it comes to hashtags. While the common advice is to include them in content, I've noticed a disconnect in practice. Whenever I ask someone, “When was the last time you actually clicked on a hashtag to explore similar content?” the response is usually a blank stare or something along the lines of, “Honestly, I can't remember.”So, from a user perspective rather than a content creator's—when was the last time you actively clicked on a hashtag to discover related content?

What Does Duolingo’s Recent AI Scandal Mean for the Future of Brand Social?

Lately, I’ve been thinking about how a lot of people — both in the social media world and outside of it — have set Duolingo as a kind of gold standard for brand social. Personally, anytime I talk to people outside the industry about who they think is doing it right, Duolingo is almost always the first name they mention.But after their recent AI scandal and the hostage-style skit videos that followed, I’m noticing the sentiment shift online. It feels like the goodwill they built is starting to crack.I’m curious how others working in social are feeling about it — do you think this marks a turning point for how brands approach social media? Share your favorite employee generated content campaign!

We are hoping to increase employee generated content, and would love some examples of brands that are doing this well (especially if they are in the nonprofit sector). I’ve seen some fun content out of places like Papa John’s (folks often make wild pizzas and share it, not doable for us but love the energy) or the day in the life videos from lots of different folks and brands. But would love some other inspiration!

HELP! - Client business IG account disabled

Hi there! Any help appreciated! I have a client that is a division of a global, well-known brand and our Instagram account has been disabled. Account of events:Updated profile image to new brand standard Monday afternoon Monday evening, I received a notification from Sprout that our IG profile had been disconnected. Went to reconnect in Sprout and was unable to.  Went to the account’s IG profile on my phone and saw that it was suspended. I filled out the form to verify out account information (username, email, password, phone number attached to the account)  Received a notification that our account had been reviewed and that it was now suspended due to violating IG’s community guidelines (photo attached of the reasons they gave me) Instagram did not give me another option to appeal this.  I read countless blogs/articles that night and clicked every link that I thought would be helpful and every form I tried to fill out it said “the username you’re inquiring about does not exist.” and w

Deactivating a page

Hi! I need some advice on how to deactivate a long-standing page. I’m a one-man band at the University I work for and our Admission Instagram page has fallen into my lap. For the past year, I’ve been managing it along with our main page and have seen a ton of overlap in the audience. Overlap in the audience kind of defeats the point of having two separate pages. In order to be more intentional with our content, we’ve decided to delete the admission page.  My question for everyone: what is the best way to delete the page? I don’t want to lose anybody who is only following that page, I want them to come follow the main page. Should we make an announcement stating the future removal of the page? How long should that post stay up?I haven’t had to do this before so I’m looking for some advice. Thank you!

How to set up DM automation on Instagram? 📬

This has evolved over time, from the link in bio to the automated DM - think “comment LESSON, and we’ll DM you the free lesson plan!”💭 What tools do you use to automate your Instagram DMs?  🤖 Stan, Manychat, or is there a feature in Sprout that can provide the same service? Instagram Reel "Prompt" option

Has anyone had much success with the “Prompt” option when posting an Instagram Reel?If anything it seems to have the exact opposite effect with content I’ve shared with comments just becoming none existent. Was wondering if anyone had examples of it being used really well?

Good afternoon,I received a request from a client who is interested in exploring the idea of creating a dedicated Facebook page for their Mortgage team. I was able to pause the conversation for now by letting them know I’d like to conduct some research before proceeding with a more in-depth discussion.I’ve worked with this particular bank for over six years and have a solid understanding of their capabilities. Based on that experience, I’m fairly certain they would struggle to maintain a consistent content schedule for a separate Facebook page. As a compromise, I suggested a potential starting point: launching a “Mortgage Monday” series beginning in July. If they are able to supply enough content to sustain weekly posts for at least three months, it would demonstrate their capacity to manage an ongoing presence.In the meantime, I committed to researching whether other financial institutions maintain Facebook pages specifically for their Mortgage teams. Growing X Followers

Hi friends!I have client who has a campaign goal of reaching 871 followers on X. The account is currently sitting at 779, and is actively posting, following, and engaging with posts. They’ve even had some replies pop off but it isn’t translating in the follower count.Does anyone have any ideas on how to grow followers on X? Client budget does not allow for upgrading to a premium account and/or running ads. Appreciate any advice! Thanks a ton!

Instagram disabled hacked account

Hi there! Do you know what could be done if an Instagram account gets permanently disabled because it doesn’t follow the Community Guidelines, because of unothorised attempts to access the account? Someone tried to hack an account and Instagram disabled it. Wondering if you know a phone number or email address I could use to try and speak to someone to hopefully get it back. Many thanks!
